Ann will take the HoopPath to Atlanta for the very first time March 27th & 28th, and couldn’t be more stoked! It means a lot to us to be able to connect with the hoopers of the Southeast–our home turf. With all due respect to our hoop sisters and brothers on the West Coast, there IS something special about repping in your own hood–that magic can’t happen just anywhere. We are so thrilled and honored to be working with the good folks at Superhooper! Thank you, Lara, Barry, Drew & all the rest of the crew! These guys are doing some amazing stuff, including driving a biodiesel bus all over the country offering free hoop classes and publishing an excellent blog. Check them out–they may well be in your neck of the woods soon!
The HoopPath approaches hoopdance as a gateway Within, an engagement with authentic movement that can strengthen and enrich the spirit as much as the physical body. Our primary commitment is to the hoop Practice. Process will be our focus as we move together. We work hard to facilitate a space that is completely safe for free exploration and discovery, and exists solely to nourish your own personal hoop practice. In this workshop, you will learn skills to develop your hoop practice from Within.
Ann will guide you through one day of core work, and a second day of off-body technique. You will get the most out of our workshop by attending both days, but since we have the rare treat of nearly unlimited space, you may also choose to go to one day only. Saturday will provide you with more of an overview of our approach to hoop meditation, whereas Sunday will tend more towards the mechanical side of things. However, both days will include blind exercises (BYO blindfold if you can–even a cut-up piece of t-shirt will do!) and inner work.
