Yes, it’s true–WE ARE FINALLY STARTING REGISTRATION FOR HP4!!! Read on to get familiar with the most important details about registration.
Most likely, you will be new this year. You will be the Fourth Ring on the Tree that started growing in the summer of 2007, when our first 17 guests graced our humble hometown. These Rings are meaningful to us–they comprise incomparably important parts of our extended Hoop Family.
In contrast to previous Retreats, this year everyone will stay together at the Holiday Inn in Chapel Hill. We believe that staying all in one place will work much better for most of you for keeping costs down, minimizing the confusion of multiple hubs, and above all streamlining ride-shares. It will only be $20 a night if you share a room with 3 other retreaters. We will manage car-shares and all other collaborations as we did last year, through our HP4 Facebook group–join up now if you haven’t yet! If you’re wanting to share a car and/or a room, start a thread and you can connect to other retreat-goers in the same boat! Also, it has the great fringe benefit of allowing you to let loose all kinds of shrieks of excitement virtually!

AND HERE’S A QUICK OVERVIEW OF THIS YEAR’S SCHEDULE!
We will begin the festivities with our local Hoop Pather-hosted Potluck (yum! Southern cookin’!) starting at 6pm on THURSDAY, JUNE 17th. We’ll end the evening with the Flowcase Showcase–so much fun! Hooping and MORE. Be sure to contact me asap if you want to perform in the Flowcase. Especially if you have a non-hooping talent to share!
On FRIDAY the 18th we will begin with Morning Meditation, Orientation for new guests, start the workshops in the afternoon, and end the day with a casual evening party at the Holiday Inn (with pool! And bar! Hell yeah!)
SATURDAY June 19th we will have workshops (Ann teaches Day Two this year, aw yeah, unh-hunh), afternoon meeting with your mini-tribes, and the Fire Ceremony in the evening, followed by fire spinning with experienced guides.
** BRECKEN will do a guest-teaching spot sometime over the weekend, as will our First Ring Brother KHAN. We could NOT be more stoked! **
SUNDAY the 20th we will have a leisurely morning, workshops in the afternoon, the Hoopers’ Ball in the evening, and our infamous After-Party at West End Wine Bar!
